While we’ve had a swimming pool at Truckee High for public use, and Tahoe Donner of course has its pool, as well as Dollar Point and Granlibakken, the Tahoe Truckee area has been sorely in need of a public rec pool for years.
As avid swimmers and physical enthusiasts, we couldn’t be more pleased to hear that the Truckee Rec Center is finally making moves and our public swimming pool will be OPEN this fall! They’re slated to open the week after Labor Day!
We’ve attached a few sneak peaks of the interior, as well as a floor plan of what’s going to be there, including a 10-lane lap pool, and a 2500 sf leisure pool, a party room, changing rooms, etc.
Thanks to Steve Randall, General Manager, Kyle Jost, Marketing and PR, and Kevin over at Sierra Insurance for the info and photos! We can’t wait to start swimming. We’ll see you at the Opening Party for some lap time.
